Desired outcomes:

  • Evaluate the technique and refinements of short scar facelift utilized in a large series of consecutive patients, including plastysmaplasty for neck contouring
  • Apply the short scar facelift to massive weight loss patients and those with significant neck deformities
  • Review the process of combining non-surgical (ablative laser, neurotoxin and volumetric fillers) to complement surgical procedures
  • Determine safety refinements in operating room/anesthesia teamwork, prophylactic measures, and pre- and post-operative measures to enhance patient safety
  • Review the indications, procedures and outcomes of the neck lift
  • Trace the evolution of the temporal brow lift from “open” to endoscopic and limited brow procedures, to the current technique of lateral subcutaneous brow lift with tissue adhesive 
  • Review ancillary techniques including the use of tissue sealants, buccal fat pad excision for lipodystrophy and pseudoherniation of the buccal fat pad, and other related associated procedures
