This is a one-hour, focused course on the anatomy of the tear trough, advanced injection techniques for the tear trough and the peri-orbital area including the mid-face.
Desired outcomes:
- Discuss the blunt needle technique, which is the instructor’s personal approach, as well as other approaches
- Recognize the advantages and disadvantages of various techniques emphasizing patient safety
- Select appropriate patients by adhering to an anatomic-based algorithm for decision-making, integrating this technique into a surgical practice
- Reduce the confusion in decision-making with surgical and non-surgical approaches as to how, when, and for whom to use what technique
- Avoid specific complications, such as irregularities and the tyndall effect
- Discuss pearls and pitfalls using patient examples to help optimize results in the unforgiving peri-orbital area
