Candace Crowe** and Deborah Boyd**
Level: Intermediate                          Organization: Interactive Workshop
Desired Objectives:
Take charge of your marketing and make it work for you. This will be a packed two-hours, with a "roll up your sleeves and get to work" approach. The room will be set up in rounds, and discussion will be lively. Bring your laptop and an open mind ready to get to work as we will have a notebook for each attendee.

Take responsibility for or assign accountability for your marketing efforts and understand today's tech-hungry society. For those that don't wish to have their "hands on" all aspects of their marketing, be able to understand and hold accountable those who are doing it for you. For those who wish to take the "hands-on" approach, learn the basics of today's marketing. This includes: Facebook, Twitter and other social media, reasonable SEO, do-it-yourself SEO, prioritize your marketing budget, identify the essential items needed for a strong brand, identify geographically unique marketing ideas, and get creative in your approach to networking.

Since 77% of people prefer to get marketing messages via email, a good portion of the class will be dedicated to learning how to do it right. Topics include keeping address lists updated, content building, the value of a good subject line, format options, photo usage licenses, mining your reports, and more.
