The continued success of your practice depends on your ability to recognize changes that are ongoing within the marketplace and to effectively manage change. All practices need periodic re-designs that will improve efficiency, patient satisfaction, service quality, and profitability. The faculty will take you through key areas that you will need to consider in a practice re-design. In preparation for this course, familiarity with contemporary business and management strategies such as Blue Ocean Strategy (W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne) and the Toyota Production System is recommended.

Objectives:

  1. Review changes that are ongoing with the aesthetic surgery marketplace
  2. Develop effective strategies to effectively provide comprehensive services including cosmetic medicine
  3. Identify areas that service quality can be improved
  4. Refine your marketing program to reach individuals from a wider age range and other demographics
  5. Develop strategies to maintain efficiency and profitability that will grow your practice
  6. Address the needs of your office personnel to make improvements in your service culture as a way of differentiating your practice from others

Dr. Jewell is an advisor to Allergan, Medicis Aesthetics, Ethicon, Inc., Sound Surgical Technologies, and AorTech. He is an approved clinical investigator for Allergan and Medicis Aesthetics. Dr. Singer is Co-Chair, Editorial Advisory Board for New Beauty Magazine, Sandow Media Corporation for which he has a small equity position, stipend. He is also a Board Member of Surgery Facilities Resources, Inc. (SFR),an international accrediting organization for which he receives no compensation. He is a Trustee of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) and receives no compensation. He is President of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities Educational Foundation (AAAASF-EF) and receives no compensation. Dr. Few is on the Advisory Board of Avon and serves as a consultant to Medicis Aesthetics, Avon, and Johnson & Johnson. He is also an investigator for Medicis Aesthetics.
