About San Diego
San Diego is renowned for its idyllic climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches, and a dazzling array of world-class family attractions. Dinner Dance
The Presidential Dinner Dance (Members and Candidates) will be held on Monday, May 5 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. The dress code is black tie optional.

Message Center / Internet Email Stations
The electronic message center and internet email stations will be located near the Registration Area – Hall F and Scientific Session – Ballroom 20, located on the Upper Level of the San Diego Convention Center. Transportation (Ground)
Once you arrive in San Diego, transportation is available via taxi or limousine to the Manchester Grand Hyatt, our headquarters hotel, and to the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina. Approximate travel time to the hotels is 10 minutes from San Diego International Airport. Taxi fare is approximately $7.00 - $10.00. You can obtain a taxi at baggage claim areas. Limousine or town car service can be arranged in advance through the hotel’s concierge or directly through LJ Transportation at (858) 456-7410.

Accreditation and Designation Statements
This activity has been planned and implements in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the sponsorship of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF). The Aesthetic Society is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery designates this educational activity for a maximum of 54.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. The Scientific Sessions are designated for 25.75 credits. An additional 28.5 credits are designated for special seminars and optional courses for a maximum of 54.25 credits available. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit hours are subject to program changes.

CME Credit Record
The ASAPS Central Office will automatically submit your registered CME credit hours and attendance record to the combined plastic surgery database maintained by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Upon your request, the ASAPS Central Office will provide you with a letter certifying attendance at the annual meeting and/or the number of credits you have earned in specific topics.

Maintenance of Certification
Category 1 CME credits required for Part II-IV (Life Long Learning and practice assessment modules) of the can be earned by attending selected optional courses where the symbol appears. Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course will satisfy the CME requirement for the assessment module. These courses have been approved by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and qualify for each of the five designated Cosmetic Modules for : augmentation/mammaplasty, face lift, liposuction, blepharoplasty, and abdominoplasty. A patient safety course has also been approved to fulfill the ABPS requirement.

All category 1 CME credits earned for will be reported on-line directly to The American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for recording in the combined plastic surgery database.

Patient Safety CME Requirement
The Aesthetic Society and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) now require that all Active Members earn a minimum of 20 CME credits in patient safety topics over a three year period (beginning in 2005). Attend the entire 2008 Scientific Session and you will earn 9 patient safety CME credits. Additional credits can be earned by attending selected optional courses where the symbol appears, up to a maximum of 17 credits. The number inside the symbol in the optional course description, beginning on Page 10, indicates the number of credits within the presentation that are applicable toward patient safety CME. The Central Office will automatically submit your CME credits and attendance record for the combined Physicians Recognition Award report maintained by the ASPS.

Policy on Faculty, Sponsor and Attendee Disclosure
The Aesthetic Society policy requires the faculty to disclose real or apparent conflicts of interest relating to topics of the educational activity, and to also disclose off-label/unapproved uses of drugs or devices mentioned during their presentation(s) and during question and answer periods. Detailed disclosures will be made in the course descriptions and at the time of presentation. Attendees providing comments or asking questions during presentations are also required to disclose all commercial interests.
