On behalf of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), please join us at The Aesthetic Meeting 2008 – “Sailing into the Future”, May 1-6, 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
This meeting is your one-stop hub of opportunities to access exclusive and timely information to supplement your aesthetic surgery education. We will navigate key topics that cover a wide range of interactive educational and scientific-based information, allowing participants to be able to network, communicate and learn more effectively. One great distinction of the ASAPS/ASERF Meeting is its 100 percent dedication to cosmetic plastic surgery. Our program format is carefully organized to balance methods and techniques that are both traditional and innovative so that you leave the meeting with optimal approaches to elevate your cosmetic surgery practice. I encourage you to review the “Week-at-a-Glance” full details.
Another marked distinction of the ASAPS / ASERF Meeting is that it offers plastic surgeons the unique and valued opportunity, in a relatively intimate setting, to openly share cosmetic surgery challenges and advancements with esteemed colleagues. We encourage our speakers to present a wide range of surgical results and timely information, based on their experiences and knowledge to offer you a comprehensive educational and scientific forum with the goal of enhancing your aesthetic practice with surgical and nonsurgical techniques.
The Aesthetic Meeting 2008 will feature a number of Special Presentations by surgeons with vast experience in particular fields of aesthetic surgery. It will also feature valued insights and pearls of wisdom from our international colleagues from across the seas that often have the opportunity to implement new devices and drugs before they reach the U.S.
One of my most important aims this year, as Aesthetic Society President, is to continue the promotion of patient safety through education. The Aesthetic Society is diligently advancing its “culture of safety” that is addressed throughout our organization as well as scientific and educational courses. In fact, a number of courses have been developed to provide up-to-date resources, as well as effective tools, to improve the level of safety in your practice. Look for this symbol throughout this website identifying courses that qualify toward the ASAPS and ASPS requirement of 20 patient safety CME credits over a three-year period.
The Aesthetic Meeting 2008 promises to be a dynamic platform and I encourage you to register early to secure your first-choice teaching courses. San Diego offers a variety of multicultural activities for your family members and spouse/accompanying guest to enjoy. Please register online by clicking HERE. Program updates will be provided via email and through this web site.
I look forward to seeing you in San Diego as we go - Sailing into the Future!
