Corporate Support - Introduction

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) was founded in 1967 as the first plastic surgery organization devoted exclusively to the education of board-certified plastic surgeons in aesthetic surgical techniques.

The Aesthetic Society is synonymous with quality and prestige. Surgeons accepted into ASAPS membership must meet the very highest professional standards. To submit an application for membership, they must be in at least their third year following certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and be able to document significant experience in cosmetic surgery. The application process also involves fulfillment of specific continuing education requirements and recommendations by professional colleagues. Surgeons are elected to membership by their peers at the Aesthetic Society’s Annual Business Meeting.

Supporting ASAPS Programs

ASAPS membership is comprised of more than 3,200 members and candidate enrollees throughout the United States and around the globe. ASAPS offers your company unparalleled access to this highly select and influential group. Whether you are a business associated with the plastic surgery industry or one that is seeking to expand your sales in this specific demographic, ASAPS can help you meet your marketing and sales goals.

The Aesthetic Meeting is attended by members of related plastic surgery organizations including the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses (ASPSN) and the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists (SPSSCS). ASAPS markets several of its educational products to selected practitioners of cosmetic surgery outside the plastic surgery specialty; therefore your corporate support or advertising message will reach additional audiences.

The ASAPS/ASERF Annual Meeting is the pivotal educational event of the year for aesthetic plastic surgeons. Attracting more than 2,800 attendees, the annual meeting offers your company a unique opportunity to increase its visibility and show support for the educational mission of the Aesthetic Society® and the Foundation. While benefiting your company’s bottom line, your support of ASAPS through corporate support and advertising opportunities also provides the resources to fulfill the subspecialty’s important educational and research mission.

Corporate support of plastic surgery’s most prestigious organization reflects your company’s commitment to quality. The visibility and goodwill created by your support of ASAPS programs represent a solid marketing investment.

This guide will introduce you to a variety of ASAPS programs, publications and products that are available to you. However, we ask that you view this brochure as a starting point for your company’s marketing goals as the ASAPS professional staff is happy to discuss additional support opportunities that may be developed to help you achieve your specific objectives.
