Practice Philosophy

Jonathan D. Hall, MD is a native of the Midwest, and received his undergraduate education at Miami of Ohio, where he was honored as the top-ranked premedical student . While at Miami, he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, played the Cello in the Chamber Orchestra, and was a contributing editor of the Fine Arts Journal. He obtained his Medical Degree at Washington University in St. Louis, and then studied General Surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed his studies in Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan, and then performed a one-year fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery with Dr. Kenneth E. Salyer in Dallas, Texas. Since completing his fellowship in 1990, Dr. Hall has maintained an active practice in Plastic Surgery on the North Shore.

In 2003 Dr. Hall was mentioned by Boston Consumer’s Checkbook Summer/Fall 2003 edition as one of the Boston Area’s Top Plastic Surgeons.

He was also recently named in the national Consumer’s Guide to Top Doctors. In a survey of 260,000 physicians in more than 50 of the largest Metropolitan Statistical Areas in the U.S., other doctors were asked to tell which specialists he or she “would consider most desirable for care of a loved one.” Dr. Hall was one of the eight most highly recommended by other doctors in the Boston Metropolitan area.

In December of 2008 he was chosen by Boston Magazine as one of the “Top Docs” of 2008.

Dr. Hall is married to Teri Hall, and is the busy father of three boys, Michael, Joshua and Andrew. He and his wife are proud that their oldest two sons are Eagle Scouts.
