The function of the Education Commission is to supervise, evaluate and coordinate all educational activities of the Society under the direction of the Board of Directors. The Commission, in conjunction with the Central Office, perpetuates the Society's accreditation status, Category 1 (hour for hour credit), with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education. The Commission also studies the Society's educational needs, and make recommendations to the Board of Directors, with appropriate fiscal notes.
