Aesthetic Society Symposia Policies 

Endorsement – A program endorsed by the Aesthetic Society may use the Aesthetic Society’s logo on its promotional materials; such promotional material shall use no words other than "Endorsed by The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Inc.” in describing the relationship of the Aesthetic Society to the program.  Endorsed programs may receive Aesthetic Society mailing labels and Aesthetic Society logo artwork at no additional charge.  All endorsed symposia will be included in the Aesthetic Society’s notices in publications, calendars and the Society will assist with broadcast email promotions of the meeting.  Endorsement will be provided for each individual symposium.  

Co-Sponsorship – Co-sponsorship occurs when the Aesthetic Society joins with another accredited organization to sponsor a symposium.  Upon mutual agreement, one organization will be primarily responsible for the administrative functions of organizing the symposium.  The practice gap-based needs assessment, educational objectives, course description, agenda, faculty, financial obligations, and location will be determined upon mutual agreement along with the determination of which organization will take responsibility for CME compliance and reporting of the activity.  The name and logo of both organizations will be included on all promotional materials. 

Joint Sponsorship – Joint sponsorship occurs when the Aesthetic Society, under the authority granted it through the ACCME, assigns AMA PRA Category 1 credits™  to a non-accredited body’s symposium.  This relationship may be requested by other plastic surgery organizations, individual Aesthetic Society members, groups of Aesthetic Society members, institutions or groups that have common goals with the Aesthetic Society.  The Aesthetic Society shall provide AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ for joint sponsored symposia which are in compliance with the Essential Areas and Elements and standards established by the ACCME.
