Practice Philosophy

In practice since 1995, Dr. Krau and his staff are committed to taking patient care to a whole new level of personal service from the initial consultation all the way through post operative visits.

Practice Specialization

Dr. Krau says he has performed thousands of breast augmentation surgeries. However, when it comes to breast lifts, he says his specific technique leaves patients with LESS SCARRING AND A BETTER SHAPE. "While the traditional breast lift is done with an anchor incision, the technique I use, a vertical mammaplasty, does not require that long horizontal incision," says Dr. Krau. "Not only do patients have one less scar, but the shape of the breast is better and the longevity of the lift is longer." Dr. Krau explains that, TRADITIONALLY, SURGEONS HAVE RELIED ON THE SKIN to reshape and support the breast. However, he adds, we recognized over the years that the skin is a very poor structure for breast support. "If you rely on the skin and put too much tension on it, it will stretch and you will be back to square one," says Dr. Krau. "The vertical technique relies on the internal structure of the breast or FASCIAL FRAMEWORK for support. "That, we know, does have strength and does hold, leaving little tension on the skin itself, less scarring and faster healing."

Surgical Facility

Dr. Krau's surgical center offers patients highest quality and artistic surgical results in the safest environment possible. The center is accredited by the State of Florida and staffed with only board certified M.D. anesthesiologists. Cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation and lifts; liposuction, body contouring and abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty; facial rejuvenation such as face lifts, mid-face lifts and brow lifts as well as skin care procedures are all performed in Dr. Krau's fully accredited, state of the art surgical center. An overnight suite is available for patients requiring an over night nurse and special monitoring.

Dr. Krau conveniently lives within walking distance of his center to check in on those overnight patients when as needed. He also makes hotel visits to nearby Sheraton Bal Harbor Hotel which houses his out of town patients who fly in from all over the world to have surgery with him. "I take all the time necessary to make my patients feel safe, comfortable and at home".
