Philosophy & Practice Info
Practice Philosophy
My own philosophy is simple. I believe in educating my patients as to their best treatment options, and to individualize my recommendations so that they best address the individual patient's concerns and sensitivities. A natural appearing result is emphasized, and it is always sought with patient safety as my highest priority. No effort or expense will be spared at achieving these goals.
Surgical Facility
The operating room, where the majority of Dr. Rapaport's cosmetic procedures are performed, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, some of which would be hard to find at other office based facilities. These include:
- the highest quality endoscopic equipment for use in breast augmentation and forehead lifts
- true dual operating room lights (many facilities use less intense and less expensive "outpatient lights")
- air-heated warming blankets for a more comfortable and rapid recovery following liposuction and other procedures
- pneumatic compression stockings to help prevent leg vein thrombosis
Finally, Dr. Rapaport invites only the finest board certified anesthesiologists to care for his patients, with advanced monitoring and emergency drugs and equipment within reach at all times. Generally, a combination of local anesthesia and intravenous sedation is used, with the patient being comfortable and completely unaware of the surgical experience. The anesthesiologist will typically phone the patient before and after the surgery, to answer any questions, and assure that recovery has been uneventful.
