Belly button repair

Q:

I had my bellybutton pierced a couple years ago and I tore it so now I can't wear a bellybutton ring; it just falls right through. It has never healed, it's just a hole. Is there a procedure where the skin can just be removed? If so, what the cost would be?

A:

It depends on how bad a tear this is... but its a procedure that should be done in the office under local and costs can run from $500-$1500 so shop around.  This repair doesn't require a tremendous amount of 'experience'.  And also know what the revision in case it doesn't turn out as anticipated.
