Lower Eye Lid Surgery with a Bubble?

Q:

I recently had lower eye lid surgery and there is a bump at the end of one eye where the stitch ended. The doctor called it is a bubble and said it would go away. My question is: What causes a bubble and will it go away?

A:

 Linda,

What you are describing most likely a is raised area of the incision?? Scars that are elevated will usually flatten out & produce line scars. Scars that are flat can sometimes separate producing a dent. This is more common on the trunk & extremities.

 Best,
