I can't have laser treatments every month. Will this affect the results?

Q:

Due to financial reasons I can't have laser hair removal treatments every month as recommended, I can go either every 2 or 3 months. Would this affect the results or outcome of the treatment?

A:

Alexandra,

No. Each laser hair removal treatment should reduce approximately 50% of the hair baring region. The interval between treatments is often best to wait to allow the hair to grow out.

 Best,

Gary R Culbertson, MD, FACS
