  • Describe the planning of incisions to minimize scars, hairline displacement and secondary deformities
  • Analyze the planning and the utilization of the SMAS and modification of the platysma 
  • Explain clinically relevant anatomy important to surgical technique and avoiding complications 
  • Evaluate treatment of the mid-face and review controversies in mid-face rejuvenation 
  • Define management of the difficult neck 
  • Discuss sequencing facelift with other procedures 
  • Review anesthesia considerations in facelift surgery 
  • Assess patient safety issues in facelift surgery 
  • Identify peri-operative care of the facelift patient
