Desired Outcomes:

  • Provide greater understanding of the anatomy of the inframammary fold, dual plane and soft tissue relationships in breast implant surgery
  • Review the anatomic basis to maintain or lower the IMF position in primary breast augmentation
  • Implement strategies to prevent and correct implant malposition, as well as to include techniques for pocket creation and revision
  • Identify strategies for selection of implant style and shape for use in routine and complex primary breast augmentation and in revision patients
  • Demonstrate combination strategies for complex revision breast augmentation patients, including IMF modification and stabilization, site change, mastopexy and implant selection
  • Discuss the indications for additional materials in revision patients when the existing tissue is not adequate to accomplish the needed repair
