We will have an app available for download for iPhone and Android devices so you will have the most up-to-date meeting information in the palm of your hand! You will receive an email when the app is available for download. We strongly recommend using the app as you will have the ability to create your own agenda, communicate with colleagues, share on social media and much more!

For those who still love print, we will provide a complete schedule in the Spring issue of our Aesthetic Society News and you are welcome to bring that issue to the meeting for your reference. We will not have a printed program book available on-site, however extra copies of ASN will be available if you forget your copy at home.

Claim Your CME Credits
Attendees are required to log into www.surgery.org/eval and complete an electronic or online evaluation and claim form[s] to claim credits for each educational activity. Your credits are unclaimed unless you complete this process.

The AMA requires that you certify the number of CME credits commensurate with your participation. After the meeting concludes, you will receive email reminders to navigate to www.surgery.org/eval to claim your CME. If you have any questions, please contact candace@surgery.org or call the Central Office at 562-799-2356.

For ASAPS Members: CME credits will be uploaded to the “My Education Credit” on the ASAPS Members Only Portal, https://members.surgery.org. After the meeting, if you complete your evaluation form[s] and claim your credits, your credits will be uploaded to your individual online CME Record.

To create a custom cycle for your credentialing and licensure CME requirements:

  • Navigate to https://members.surgery.org and log in using your ASAPS Member credentials
  • Use the "My Education Credit" link located under the “My Account Links” section of the dashboard. From there, you can access the "Add Custom Cycle" feature
  • If you have trouble logging in you can use the password recovery tool located on the log in form at https://members.surgery.org
  • Or you may contact the Central Office at 562-799-2356.

The Aesthetic Society is no longer reporting credits to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). You and/or your staff can still self-report credits to ASPS.

Mobility scooter rental is available at MCCNO at the UPS Store, located on Lobby F of the Convention Center.  Attendees are encouraged to make arrangements in advance: Mobility Scooter Reservation Form.  Wheelchairs are also available upon request.

required for Part II-IV (Life Long Learning and practice assessment modules) may be earned by attending selected optional education where the symbol appears. These courses have been approved by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and qualify for one of the six designated tracer procedures of the Cosmetic Module: abdominoplasty, augmentation/mammaplasty, blepharoplasty, face lift, rhinoplasty and liposuction.

Patient Safety CME Requirement
The Aesthetic Society and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) now require that all Active Members earn a minimum of 20 CME credits in patient safety topics over a three year period. Attend the entire 2019 Scientific Session and you can earn 12 patient safety CME credits. Additional credits can be earned by attending selected optional education where the symbol appears. The number inside the symbol in the optional education description indicates the number of credits within the presentation that are applicable toward patient safety CME. 

Policy on Faculty, Sponsor and Attendee Disclosure
The Aesthetic Society policy requires Faculty to provide at the beginning of their presentations, both orally and on their first slide, detailed disclosures of any health care related relationships and/or real or apparent conflicts of interest relating to the educational topic. Faculty are also required to disclose off-label/unapproved uses of drugs or devices mentioned during their presentations or during the question and answer periods. Detailed disclosures are also provided behind the “Disclosures” tab on the left-hand side of this page. All disclosures were printed in the special edition Aesthetic Society Newsletter, ASN, a limited number of copies available at the registration desk. Attendees providing comments or asking questions during presentations are also required to disclose all commercial interests.

CME Mission Statement

  • Purpose
    Through its CME efforts, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery shall advance the art, science, and safe practice of aesthetic surgery and cosmetic medicine, assuring that aesthetic surgery  and cosmetic medicine retain their appropriate place within the broad specialty of plastic surgery.
  • Content
    Our aim is to provide comprehensive educational opportunities encompassing aesthetic surgery as well as cosmetic medicine, including recommendations for reducing complications, optimizing outcomes, and ensuring patient safety. It is our goal to promote the adoption of evidence-based medicine.
  • Types of Activities
    We offer a range of educational formats, based on adult learning principles, which includes live meetings, Internet enduring materials, journal and online activities.
  • Target Audience
    Educational Programs are directed towards the membership of the Aesthetic Society and other plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and other healthcare professionals who may work directly for or with board certified plastic surgeons.
  • Expected Results
    We expect physician-learners to acquire new strategies that will improve their performance should they choose to incorporate these techniques into their practice. Furthermore, we expect in the aggregate to improve aesthetic practice, with favorable patient outcomes and declining complication rates.
