202 Simultaneous Facelift and Fat Injections

This course will be a clinically oriented guide to planning and performing simultaneous facelift and fat injections.  The course will include video of facial fat injections and a question and answer period.  (Please note: The course will focus on fat grafting and facelift will not be specifically discussed.)
Desired outcomes:

• Review the relevance of the facial atrophy and the importance of restoration of lost facial volume in the modern facelift procedure   
• Compare the strengths and weaknesses of the commonly advocated procedures used to add volume to the face  
• Discuss pre-operative analysis of the facelift patient and the development of an appropriate surgical plan  
• Discuss primary fat grafting vs. simultaneous facelift and fat grafting and review the indications and best applications for each 
• Review controversies in harvesting and processing of fat for injection 
• Present fat injection technique 
• Discuss optimal sequencing facelift and fat injection procedures 
• Review anesthesia considerations for facelift and fat injection procedures 
• Discuss patient safety issues in facelift and fat injection procedures 
• Discuss peri-operative care of the patient undergoing simultaneous facelift and fat injections
