Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists Celebrates 23rd Annual Meeting in San Diego

San Diego, CA (April 26, 2017) – The Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists (SPSSCS) celebrates Skin Care 2017 – “Sail into What’s New in Skin Care,” its 23rd Annual Meeting in San Diego today. The annual meeting of SPSSCS is held each spring in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF). This program encompasses all aspects of skin care management featuring presentations by industry professionals and experts.

"Skin care continues to evolve into a field that is becoming significantly more critical to the overall anti-aging and aesthetic industries. Advances in technologies, treatments and products are enabling patients to tailor their regimens, delaying the need for more invasive procedures (such as plastic surgery) longer. In fact, many of the plastic surgeons we work with encourage their patients to take much better care of their skin at a much younger age, and work in concert with us to provide them with the best possible skin care plan as they grow older, explains President-elect and Program Chair Cindy Steele, LA, NCEA.

“Our annual meeting has proven to be a hub for advancing knowledge among skin care specialists, and we’re excited to share the latest breakthroughs at the meeting this year,” notes President Lizabeth Clouse, RN, CPSN.

Program Highlights Include:

• Microneedling in the Medical Practice
• Semi-Permanent Fillers
• Laser Safety
• No Fear with Injectables
• Pigmentation Solutions

The meeting will include scientific presentations and instructional courses to all medical skin care specialists interested in advancing their knowledge and skills. SPSSCS has developed a distinct curriculum detailing cutting edge topics in skin treatments taught by the industry's most knowledgeable skin care specialists, physicians, nurses and scientific researchers.
