How can I correct a breast lift with results that I am very dissatisified with?

Q:

I had undergone a breast lift surgery, however, I am extremely unhappy with the results.  The nipples are placed too high and they are not symmetrical at all, either in the size or the position (they are both too high and one is to the right side).  All of the breast tissue is under the nipples with no space above the nipples.  I find it very difficult to find bras or swim suits that cover them and they always seem to pop out.  What are my options to correct this?

A:

Rea,

Yes, this can usually be corrected.  Another surgical procedure will most likely be required.  May I recommend you first obtain your pre operative pictures and operative report.  Then, consider a consult with one of the many members of the ASAPS for suggestions on how to correct your concerns.

Best,

Gary R. Culbertson, MD, FACS

Correction might be very difficult depending on what was done the first time.  Consult a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON, maybe two, in your area for their opinions.
