Finger Nail Transplant Procedure

Q:

I lost my finger nail due to a burn , it will never grow again naturally. I need to have a transplant procedure, is this possible?

A:

Ahmed,

An examination would be required to answer your question. Normally, if it is the nail bed this can be corrected by debridement and a graft from one of your toes. If it is the nail matrix this can be a much more difficult issue to address. Best,
