Q:

I have an abdominal lipoma. From researching the topic, it seems that this can be taken care of through liposuction. Is this true? If so, what is the cost and will it be covered by medical insurance?

A:

Lipomas are benign fatty tumors. some lipomas can be removed by liposuction. However if the lipomas is large it should be biobsied first to make sure you are dealing with a benign tumor.

Lipomas can regrow if the lipoma is not completely removed.
