Is it safe to have Botox injections into my forehead 2 days before having Lasix eye surgery?

Q:

Is it safe to have Botox injections into the forehead two days before having Lasix eye surgery?

A:

Yes, it most likely would be OK to have some Botox injections 48 hours before Lasix surgery, but what is the rush?  Why not separate the procedures by some weeks to make sure these two minor procedures go well without complications?

Best,

Gary R. Culbertson, MD, FACS

A:

I don’t think it is a problem to have Botox® injections on the forehead before or after Lasix eye surgery.
