I had a triple bypass a year ago-would it be dangerous to get liposuction?

Q:

A:

Yes, it certainly could be dangerous to have liposuction after a cardiac by-pass. May I suggest you start with your cardiologist to determine if it would be OK. He will make a determination of your Cardio-Pulmaonary Status. This will assist your surgeon and anesthesiologist to determine if you are a good candidate for Liposuction. Hopefully, you will consider one of the many members of the ASAPS. Patient safety first with favorable outcomes are goals of all ASAPS members.  Best,
