• Define levels of sedation/analgesia
• Discuss appropriate monitoring based on the patient, procedure, and intended depth of sedation
• Review relevant clinical pharmacology of sedative and reversal agents
• Recognize over-sedation and treat airway obstruction
• Prevent, recognize, and treat medical emergencies which could to present during office-based surgery
