Desired outcomes:
- Identify anatomical changes which cause aging in the orbit, mid-face, and lid-cheek junction
- Discuss how to permanently eliminate the tear trough deformity utilizing a variety of techniques, including fat transfer over the orbital rim
- Recognize a skin flap lower lid blepharoplasty, which removes excess skin, preserves muscle, and increases safety
- Identify different canthopexy procedures and learn to perform one simple, safe technique which is applicable in all aesthetic lower lid procedures
- Assess periorbital and mid face fat grafting to reverse age related deflation
- Select patients appropriate for a single plane facelift
- Select patients appropriate for a dual facelift
- Design an oblique dual plane facelift which effectively raises cheek fat, including the malar fat pad, with long-lasting results
- Identify how to protect facial nerve branches during deep plane surgery
- Decrease the incidence of facelift hematomas
