Foad Nahai, MD, Named Associate Editor of Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Peer-Reviewed Publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
NEW YORK, NY (October 23, 2006)—Foad Nahai, MD, has been named Associate Editor of Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ), peer-reviewed journal of the 2300-member American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Well-known for his extensive contributions to scientific research and education in the field of plastic surgery, Dr. Nahai joins Editor in Chief Stanley A. Klatsky, MD, of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, in leadership of the journal's Editorial Board.
Currently in private aesthetic surgery practice in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Nahai is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University. He has been a member of the Aesthetic Society since 1989. Currently the Society’s President-Elect, he also serves as the Chair of the Education Commission and the Breast Surgery Immediate-Response Committee, and has served on the Judicial Council since 1997. He has served as Clinical Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal since 2000. Dr. Nahai was elected to the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is currently the First Vice-President of the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, as well as a member of numerous medical societies, including the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Nahai has been an Aesthetic Society traveling professor at many universities worldwide and has been the author of more than 135 scientific publications.
