The Institute of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine located at Northern Westchester Hospital, a 235-bed facility 30 miles north of Manhattan in Westchester County, has developed an integrated Breast Surgical Oncology and Aesthetic Breast Fellowship for postgraduate specialization in all aspects of breast health and disease. Now in its third year, this one-year program is unique in its emphasis on the principles of “aesthetic oncology” or oncoplastic surgery and multidisciplinary surgical planning. A surgical case volume of over 1000 breast procedures annually provides the breast fellow with technical experience in all aspects of breast surgical procedures from aesthetic and reconstructive, to symmetry and complicated re-operative procedures. Multidisciplinary breast management is experienced using an interdisciplinary approach by working with experts in breast and surgical oncology, plastic surgery, diagnostic imaging, medical oncology, radiation therapy, pathology and nuclear medicine in our new state-of-the-art, full service, dedicated Breast Institute at NWH. There is opportunity for clinical trial participation and clinical research experience through NWH’s Comprehensive Cancer Program accredited by the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer. In addition, NWH participates in the Westchester County Breast Health Program which serves high-risk and underserved women providing breast fellows with opportunity for leadership in community work. Located in Laguna Beach, California, this fellowship emphasizes aesthetic breast surgery including many secondary procedures, facial aesthetics, and body contouring, but also encompasses laser treatments, botox injections, fillers, and peels in a private practice supported by two plastic surgeons.  A minority of cases are hospital-based and of the acute nature.  Total number of aesthetic cases average 300 cases/6 months.  Additionally, Dr. Mills is an associate clinical professor for Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California.  During the training, participation in two projects resultin in publication and/or presentation is required.  In addition to the clinical and research aspects, much shall be learned regarding private practice and its multiple facets as they relate to the world of business.

The University of Southern California-Marina Plastic Surgery Associates Aesthetic Fellowship is a 12 month commitment. W. Grant Stevens is the Fellowship Director.
 
Fellows typically scrub on over 100 major cosmetic surgical procedures each month with one of two plastic surgeons at the Marina Outpatient Surgery Center. They will also participate in a very high volume medical day spa with aestheticians and Physician Assistants in advanced injectables, including fillers and neuromodulators. Additionally, the fellow will become familiar with the latest non-ablative skin treatments and energy based non-invasive body contouring. Clinical research on cosmetic surgery topics results in multiple publications and presentations each year. In addition, Fellows will supervise chief residents in the role of attending at the USC Resident Aesthetic Clinic. This includes seeing patients in the office as well as supervising and assisting the operation in the attending role.  Also, there is the opportunity to perform your own “Fellow Cases” at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates.  These Fellow Cases are your patients that you alone see from consult through the post-operative period. You will learn more than just surgery at this busy private practice fellowship. Ask our previous successful fellows. 
 
Candidates must have completed an accredited training program in plastic surgery.  California medical license is required, as fellows will apply for full privileges at Marina del Rey Hospital.   Salary, housing in Marina del Rey and liability insurance are provided.

Experiences provided in cosmetic plastic surgery of the head and neck, breast and abdomen with both classic liposuction, ultrasonic liposuction and laser experience when indicated. Trainees participate in the academic activities at the Lenox Hill Hospital program and are encourages to attend both regional and national plastic surgery meetings. Mmalpractice and health insurance are provided. Salary is $55,000 pa, no accommodation is provided. Our two Fellows each average 100-120 personal cosmetic surgery cases , all under the direct tutelage of one of the 45 Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. All patients are Cosmetic with approximately half facial, eyelid and nasal plastic. Intake clinics are conducted as a private office and 100+ filler and Botox experiences each Fellow offered. The Cleveland Clinic Dept. of Plastic Surgery's postgraduate aesthetic/breast program includes in-depth exposure to virtually all areas of aesthetic plastic surgery including facial cosmetic, aesthetic breast, body contouring, aesthetic laser surgery, and hair restoration. The program is supported by six plastic surgeons all with expertise in different areas of aesthetic surgery.
